Savana/ Express zéro offset swivel seats?

Did you get the correct swivel for your van? The swivel should be such that the driving position is the same as stock (yet about 1" higher), but the seat will shift towards the center of the van when facing rearward. ie. the swivel point is NOT centered directly under the center of seat/pedestal.

I bought some from seats4less and they were fabricated incorrectly. It took me quite a while to figure out how they were supposed to work and why I couldn't shut my doors with the seats facing rearward. I ultimately built my own out of a used generic R$V swivel making sure the swivel point was located appropriately.

I bought mine from Discountvantruck. I should go and take pictures they are ridiculous. ... I will have to see if I can redrill or modify them and see if they will swivel from there or if i chuck them entirely.

growing up we had a gmc rally van with swivel seats, they might have been taller but they werent offset like that.

My original plan was to build my own and save some money, I paid more for these than I had thought would, but now seeing how much effort Roadtrek put into space management/use I can say I'm glad I didn't add this to my list of time sucker projects; getting both the static seat offset position and swivel offset measurements right would have taken me multiple attempts with a wood mock up. With the doors closed the door panel armrest just makes contact with, but isn't hard on the seat armrest, it takes a lot of measuring to make that happen..

the driver is limited by the steering wheel which is a bit more than 90 deg and plenty enough for me.

does your driver seat face the passenger seat? do you think an offset would increase range?

I am trying northern tool seat swivel #5006 on the passenger side, don't know how it will go.

Thanks,

No, I'm sure there is some small offset, but it isn't really noticable, didn't "feel" any different then driving with the stock seat set up other than maybe being a little taller which I actually prefer. I'll take some measurements tomorrow.
