Anyone else with a GMT 800 (AKA "NBS", 2000 - 2006 full size Chevy/GMC) running a Scangauge II and showing transmission temps?
.
I'm Trying to install the Scangauge II on my '04 Suburban LT after getting it back from Linear Logic. Having a little difficulty getting it to read TFT (Transmission Fluid Temp.)
.
I downloaded the X Gauge GM Specific codes from Linear Logic and programmed exactly what is there for the VPW protocol:
.
TXD: 6C10F1221940
RXF: 046205190640
RXD: 3008
MTH: 00090005FFD8
.
When I try to look at TFT it seems to jump up and down, sometimes its showing 240 and the next second it's - 35.
.
Are there different codes I should be using? According to the Scangauge it should be using the VPW protocol.
.
Thanks in advance!
.
PS: Have to give a big :26_7_2: to Linear Logic. I bought my SG in 2012, and they come with a 3 year warranty, which means that when mine stopped working in December of 2015 it was already nearly a year out of warranty.
.
DESPITE that, they had me ship it to them (at my expense) and they fixed it for free and sent it back. My total expense was the $6.00 it cost me to mail it to them. Oh, and I sent it on about the 5th of January and had it back a week later.
.
If you're looking for an OBD-II plug-in gauge I can't recommend the SGII highly enough. Yes, it's more expensive than an UltraGauge or a dongle you can plug in and use your smart phone to read with the Torque app, but it works great and their customer service can't be beat!
