I've been talking to the guys in Canada who sell the Scepter MFC cans. I'm trying to gauge how many people would buy one or several if they were made available. I would be picking them up in Canada and then shipping directly to customers back home in the U.S. We're talking NEW, non CARB cans here.
Prices will depend largely on quantity as there is a price break on large orders. If I can get 50+ cost will be $65 + actual shipping. More and the price goes down.
I'll check this thread for awhile to gauge interest. Feel free to pass this info along to anyone interested, or post up in your other forums. If I get enough people on board I'll make a run for the border.

A number of you are requesting cans in RED. I'm not sure the true MFC cans come in red. I'll check. I know the CARB compliant cans come in red, but you can get those anywhere. I'll find out if the MFCs come in red.

OK, so here's what I'm thinking...
There seems to be a lot of interest for sure. The quantity involved will require some serious cash outlay on my part. To help defray some of the upfront cost, I'm going to offer these at a discount for anyone willing to pre pay.
Pre-paid orders will be $60 plus shipping if needed. That's the same price you would pay walking into a shop in Canada.
Buy 2 or more and get them for $55 each plus shipping.
I'm getting a little bit of a volume discount so that's where I'll cover my time.
I'll pick up as many extras as I can and bring them home to sell. I'll charge $65 each plus shipping with no pre payment.
Spouts are going to $24 each, up front, or $30 no pre pay.
Estimated shipping: about $12 for one, $15 for 2 bundled together via USPS (cheapest quote I could find). Local pickup in Santa Cruz, CA is ok too.
Since we don't know each other personally here, I will invoice those interested via paypal. You can pay with your paypal account, or if you don't have one, by credit card. Paypal gives you 100% insurance on your purchase should anything go wrong. That protects you, and the payment up front protects me from buying 100 of these things and getting stuck with 90 of them. Of course, cash or cashiers check is ok too.
I'll not send invoices or collect $$ until I have the min. number of orders. If everyone that has shown interest steps up, we're good on quantity.
Please email me your name, desired quantity, email address, and shipping zip code. PLEASE put "MFC" in the subject line so I can keep track of orders. I'll collect orders until I have enough. You're not out any $$ in the meantime.
I'll hold this open for 2 weeks and see what I get for quantities. Feel free to email with questions.
