So I just had a friend offer me there 1990 rrc for 1500. It's in great shape and mostly stock. Should I go for it? How are they off road? Then that will keep the wifey happy while I continue my series search.

RRCs are awesome. Should be comfortable and a good truck. Underneath it is super-similar to a Disco 1. Check the years as the early ones had 10 spline axles while the later ones had 24 spline (24 spline has stronger axles).

Do it!

1990 RRC will be very capable of sucking up any and all cash you had dedicated to finding a series... stay focused and get what you want!

My wife informed me that she either wants the rrc or a disco. So I can't deny her lol. The series can wait. If she's not happy neither am I lol

Happy wife=happy life.

An RRC is a great truck but do some research. They can take a lot of time and parts to get up to snuff if it has been neglected. You can easily spend several times your purchase price in maintenance. But check it out, it may be worth it.

Well... We traded our 93 wrangler. In return we got a 1990 RRC county edition and a 97 Disco 1 SE7. The disco has a 3 inch ome lift, arb bumper, 9k Warn winch, and fresh head gaskets. The RRC is in great shape, the only problem is a timing issue that will be fixed ASAP. I'll add pics very soon. Quick question should I just turn this into my build thread or start a new thread?
