this thing is in the zimm top ten for cool.

Thanks! I'm thinking of dressing up like Fonzie and driving around town to help sell this thing. If I could figure out how to make it start by hitting the fender, it would be a done deal.

The space between the bench seat/ lock-box and face of the cabinets is 21". There is an 8" space behind the bench seat/ lock-box (big enough to store 3 folding camp chairs below the top of the bed rail) , which is the width of the wheel well. If you cut a portion of the box to accomodate the wheel well, the bench could be moved back 8" creating a 29" wide center section.

The lower bed is 3' wide by 5'-8" long. I can slide the front passenger seat forward and hang my feet off the edge into the cab area, but I'm a side-sleeper and the bed length wasn't an issue (I'm 6'-2"). The space behind the bench- seat back and the wall is about. 14" at the bottom and 12" at the top. Plenty of space for bags or another cabinet. We usually put our bags and sleeping bags back there and kept the center section clear for our dog. Another option is putting the bed down and putting the crates on top. With the lower bed made- up, the distance from the cabinets to the right wall is 56".

The upper bed is 4' wide and 6'-4" long.

The mpg is about 13-15. I usually got 14-15 mpg on the freeway at 65mph. I've gone 80mph when passing (according to my GPS). It was relatively stable at that speed, but it didn't feel sustainable. Awesome look on the face of the person we were passing, btw. I cruised at about 72- 73 mph on hwy 5 to Death Valley and averaged 13 mpg. The mpg improvement was significant at 65mph on the way back.

SOLD...Sort of. Top is STILL AVAILABLE.

SOLD the Scout without the top

The Pop- up camper and rear tire carrier are still available. Bolts up to your Scout with minimal work. It would bolt up easily enough to drive it home securely (with no drilling).

It could probably even work for a Gen 1 4runner and, of course, a Chevy blazer that it was designed for. It would take some modification.

$2,900 for the top.
