I too keep a gun close by when out in the nether regions. We broke down out in the desert and had to sleep in the truck that night. Imagine my shock when a bright flashlight shown into the truck. It's almost impossible to see past the light and somewhat startled, I had my hand on the gun under my coat/pillow when the man announced he was border patrol. I still think about how close it came to turning out differently that night. He was a great help to us.
