Security Window Film

Does anyone have any experience with using security window film to the back window of a truck canopy or camper? I ordered some 12 mil clear film, not supposed to prevent the window from breaking but might make it harder to break in or keep shards of glass out of the interior if something breaks the window.

I think people who will break your rear window are those who see something inside. I used VANTAGE POINT SEE-THRU WINDOW GRAPHICS from JC Whitney, I can see out but Looky Loo's can't see in.

The one that's often interested me is the Profilon series of burglary-resistant films from Haverkamp GmbH in Münster, Germany. Kind of expensive from some checking I did a while back, but it seems like a strong solution to smash-and-grab break ins.

See especially the .pdf data sheet on the product page here:

Anybody here have first hand with Profilon films?
