Having to part ways with my 1991 Montero LS gen 1 with 135k miles. ? Hopefully she can go to a fellow enthusiast with more skills/tools/time than I have.

you should get the transmission fixed or replaced. It is very difficult to find the right buyer at a premium price (like you are asking) for a vehicle with issues.

I've decided to get the transmission rebuilt by a pretty darn good local specialist.
