The Serengeti Outdoor Safari Bow is the most popular tent in the Safari line. It is a great size for up to 5 people and ample room for 2 extra large cots as an alternate set up. It has a 10'x10' footprint, and it plenty high to walk in. The material is a dynaproof rip-stop duck cloth, providing a weatherproof cabin interior. Solid spring steel poles help keep the tent upright in winds up to 100 KPH. It is designated as a Semi-Permanent structure, able to be left up for years. It is a true 4 season tent, and perhaps the last ground tent you will buy.

I have the Safari Bow and I can personally tell you it's the best tent I have ever owned. It is pitch black at night and completely comfortable in the Texas heat. I will tell you that it is a beast. It weighs in at 85 pounds and can be hard to set up by yourself. It can be done though. If you are thinking about getting one talk to Paul. He helped me make the decision to get mine and I have never looked back. This tent has been in 50 mph winds and when you're on the inside you can't hear a thing. It really is that good.

Are these made in China?

The Serengeti Safari Ground Tents are manufactured in Johannesburg South Africa. We import them with our other lines from there, namely Eezi-Awn and National Luna. The company that makes them is called Campmor Outdoor Products of South Africa. Not to be confused with the Campmor of New Jersey. This line is a portable version of the semi permanent safari lodges they build for the African safari industry. Large structures used for lodges and luxury accomodation in the middle of the African continent. The material is manufactured in Australia and sent to South Africa for use in the structures. Thanks for asking about the videos. We had several produced, but they were before the name change to Serengeti. What I can suggest is a series of videos that our counterparts in Australia have created. The Australian retailer is Kangaroo Tent City. They offer the same tents under the Campmor Outdoor of South Africa brand. It is a 4 part series of videos that explain everything you want to know about these tents.
