Series vs Defender bulkhead vent seals

I have a galvanized Series IIA bulkhead, and was considering using Defender vent seals because they attach to the vent itself instead of the bulkhead itself. Anyone done it, and did they seal as well as the Series seals?

Considering we in the Defender world see it basically as an upgrade to go to the Series vent seals, I'm sure you're probably better off with the Series ones.

I have the Series rubber seal on mine, not the Defender foam seal.

Well, I guess that settles it. I'm going with Series seals. With all of the rain we've been getting, I need the best seals I can get.

The foam seals are much worse - they're a great example of cost engineering.
