I have HAM and CB on my truck but I don't usually travel with the antenna installed unless I'm with a group. I haven't had a really good way of storing them and keeping all the parts together, so I came up with a holder for them made out of some brown waxed canvas:





It's long enough to hold a 36" CB antenna, a 2m/70cm HAM antenna plus an extra antenna minus the base. There's a pocket in the closure flap for holding the HAM antenna's gasket. The flap is held closed with a riveted snap. It's going to be stowed on the ceiling of my canopy where it's up and out of the way.

Doing some custom design/sew-out work for a really cool company. Can't go into any details until the release but, gotta say this is what makes developing and creating custom textile Overland/Adventure/Expo gear totally fun! Plus, getting to use the ATC Mountain Design Studio for some of the patterning and cutting has worked out awesome! Can't wait for the move in day!

After getting some pricing for an awning for our truck, when we got up off the floor, we decided to make our own.









It took a while, but turned out great.



We used an old heavy duty Singer, which worked, for a while but was at bit too much for it.

So we bought a SailMate machine - Australia version of the SailRite.



It worked great, sewing up to eight thicknesses of the heavy duty canvas. We used full felled seams everywhere, and had no problems with the heavy duty window screening material which broke the Singer machine.




We took it to the beach for a test run, turned out to be quite a test with 75kph winds and pouring rain, but it held up and worked great.

Fantastic work! That's a ton of work with large pieces......wow!
