Rendezvous Conspiracy
We all got together at Christmas tree circle and on time. As we hit the trail
and aired downed Rusty ends up finding a baby horned rattler that had already
been hit and killed. Kinda lead to a small talk about watching out for the
snakes and being a bit more careful. WE hit the rock grade with two jeeps,two
tundras. The double cab driven by Rusty did an outstanding job in the rocks and
made short work of the grade,most impressive.The other vehicles the same. We
camped at the very end of sheeps, only place left to do so.Sun out and bright and
a slight breeze.... came up and went and we lit the camp fire drank beers and
chatted. Well the wind was just getting started, blew about 30 mph with stronger
gusts. We lost two tents one at 4am the other around 5am.Ray and his son Nick
bugged out around 4am due to the tent being tore apart. The wind really blew
hard all night and even harder in the morning.If it was not for the wind we would gone to Fonts Point the next day. Mike,Carol,and Rusty left
together and I was close behind them.All in all nice trip out and back, the wind
was pretty bad that night and all day. We did receive and very heavy dose of
rain in Ranchita all the was to Bonsal. Thanks to everyone Ray,Nick,Rusty,Anna
and Mike and Carol.We did meet up with Tad and Ericka and the two kids in a sportsman van,first ever van I had seen at the canyon. Will load some pictures tonight. I thank Ray,Nick,Anna,Mike,Carol and Rusty for going.
