Ive seen these talked about online and wondered what people thought of them. The price tag seems really high at over a grand.
I also found these ice fishing tents almost identical in every way with only a few distinct differences.

1 No floor
2 no frills like AC or power cord slots
3 costs about $400

My opinion is that the shift pod is an adaptation of the ice fishing design just added a zip on floor and shiny exterior, but the floor is nice for camping. For the difference in price point I wonder if something like like this could be made to work. There are at least two manufacturers that make these CLAM six pack is one and the other is eskimo catfish. Both also have other sizes smaller and larger.

Another bonus of an ice fishing shack. Most are insulated.

No floor may be a deal breaker for some but I wouldn't care.
