Shipping Van from TX to CA

I am finalizing a deal on an extended e350 in Dallas and I want to get it shipped to San Francisco.

Anyone have direct contact with trucking companies that are NOT brokers?

Any personal experiences with shipping a big full size van?

I tried getting quotes and all I get are spam emails and false promises over the phone from brokers.

At this time I can't do a fly and drive back.

Look on craigslist for a "hotshot haul" it will be a licensed, bonded person using 1 ton truck and a simple trailer, they usually undercut the standard shippers by a ton.

Get a plane ticket and drive it

OP can't drive at this time.

Best of luck on finding a ride for it... Be sure to search for complaints about shipper before committing. I've read a few horror stories.

This would be my first course of action. Try to find a trustworthy friend who may have a couple days of vacation and is willing to road trip.
Beyond that maybe check with a local used car dealer and ask them who they use.

Thanks for the input. Looks like I'm having a sportsmobile forum member do a fly and drive. Gentleman is nice enough to do it for just airfare and gas.

If that doesn't work let me know. I'd do it for airfare gas and a few bucks. Might be a week or so but I'd be happy to escape for a few days and visit family in the Bay Area.
