Should I Rhinoline or bed rug?

hey what do you mean it faded? Just the color right and not the material's thickness? So it went from black to a dark grey?

I plan on putting a shell over my bed so the bed won't see too much sun and elements..

That's what I meant...just the color.

I'm also thinking that since I plan on transporting sensitive electronic equipment in the back, the Rhino would offer additional grip and *some* extra padding due to the elasticity of the material over Line X...

I have always liked the rubbery-ness of the rhino line. I have never owned a truck with it in until now. I was trying to load an engine hoist in the bed and it wouldn't slide in for crap! I LOVE IT. while it was a pain in the rear to get the hoist in, I like the fact that once it was there I almost didn't need tie downs. it stayed put for the 50 mile trip.

I have never been a fan of the hard sandpaper liners. If you wan to lay a sleeping bag directly on them they catch on the nylon and what not. The Line-X doesn't fade though and that can be nice if you are into that sort of thing. But in the end a truck is a truck and I am willing to accept that if my black bed liner fades a bit, on my silver truck, all the better.

Since you are going to have a shell it wont fade as fast. If you are transporting electronics equipment the Rhino line will also act as a static barrier. My fathers trucks use rhino line for that purpose. It works well as an isolator.

I would love to have a bed rug if I were to sleep in the bed. Those things are comfy!

Good luck! It all comes down to you and what you want.
