Larry your truck looks very capable flexing it out on that course. Was the pic taken at the Expo rally? Are you a sponsered participant now that you have that new licence plate? Thanks for posting. Cheers, Chilli....:)

The top picture is from the Canyonlands Maze District last month but the pictures in the hole were on the Range Rover advanced off-road course at the Overland Expo last year (2013) during a photo-shoot with 4WOF mag. Hehe, no…I’m not a sponsored participant at the Expo. I have the wrong brand of truck (not Range Rover, Jeep or something diesel powered), wrong brand of camper (not Four Wheel Camper), and subscribe to the wrong magazines (ones that cost less with far fewer advertisements for overpriced gear = OJ).

Thanks! Don’t get me wrong, I am not an Overland Expo decrier. In fact, I really enjoy the venue and look forward to it every year. I feel we are lucky to have an event like this directed at our hobby/habit/way of life. Although, our little group of old American iron rigs just isn’t the status quo like the cool kids at the event. It is unlikely you would ever see a Facebook feed with a picture and story of an average Joe old American truck on Expedition Portal or Overland Journal’s Facebook story feed. Those spots are obviously reserved for Toyotas, Range Rovers and Jeeps or rigs that the average guy could never afford :ylsmoke:

That's something I've noticed since I found the site. I guess it's only "overlanding" if it's "over priced". Gear, truck... anything. I love my old truck and my even older Coleman camp stove.
