I just purchased a 2016 4Runner Trail. I have been a previous owner of other 4x4's including a 2012 Jeep JK unlimited. So far I can say that the quality of the 4R is so much better than the Jeep. If they still made the FJ I would have purchased that but I have been extremely happy with the 4R.
I have noticed that the aftermarket is limited compared to Jeep. Where are you guys buying aftermarket accessories?

Toyota parts aren't like jeep parts. Lots of custom small shops for Toyota stuff and not as much large manufactured stuff. 2016 stuff is pretty new armor wise though. Suspension wise, it's the same as the earlier gen. Wheelers offroad, DSM, toytech, and many others are good places to go
