Sienna Seats in Express

Has anyone attempted this?

I am working with a 2004 AWD Express. Currently there is no seating in the back.....debating my options. On the same topic, does anyone have advice for mounting seats back there in general? It looks like access is very tight and mostly covered by a heat shield! Thanks :sombrero:

The mounts I designed and Ujoint now sells would probably be as good of a solution as any. They were designed to be fairly universal, not just specifically for the Ford. Here are the dimensions... hole pattern is 11" x 11" if I remember correctly.

You should really try to mount through an underbody brace and/or back up the bolts with something to distribute load.

Those are definitely sharp. I do not have a pic on hand but the under carriage of the Express vans have a large heat shield that prevents access to the underside of the floor. Do Ford vans have have something similar? Any advice for dealing with the shield? Thanks for the insight - - much appreciated

Sometimes the shields are in the way, depends on if its a gas or diesel. You may have to drop them for access.

Forgive me for resurrecting an old thread, but I wanted to know if the original poster moved forward with putting seats in his/her Express van? I was about to post the same question but the search brought me here...

My needs in the interior layout have changed (now have a 3 year old, kid #2 is on the way). The rear sofa bed that sets to the far back of the van (Sportsmobile RB50 layout) is too far for the front passenger to reach easily while seated (handing snacks to young child, etc.). My wife is afraid/unwilling to get out of her seatbelt to go to the back of the van when we are rolling. One of our last extended roadtrips in the van was painful so I have to do something if we are going to keep the vehicle.

Thanks!
