i plan on seeing the Mighty Max on the dusy next year, providing i don't embarrass myself again.
suzi the psychic usually gets me in/out unassisted.........
info: she's the '89 sidekick-
alot of stock gear, including the little motor, but a rear locker, geared lowrange turning big 31" tires, some suspension/body adjustments, winch+jack+some tackle, radios, fish gear, lighter than last time....... pretty self sufficient. icebox turns into a box after a while.
i'll be hangin' around wentworth springs looking for the invaders.
again, u guys are legit.
i keep tabs on the planning- what i see so far works. mabe i can make barrett.
suzi and i would make a good trail sweep- when u see me u know everybody made it.

^^^ This guy is LEGIT! Look forward to wheeling with you again dude! PM me your phone number again, i destroyed my old phone by accident, I may be in Santa Cruz next month.

Guess my fan clutch is giving up the ghost, ordered one and a new fan blade since the cracks are getting scary. Check those cooling system out 100%++++++++++ before the carnage and wire the condenser fan for manual operation. Sierra engine heat is legendary.

Hey guys, do you have room for another Gen 3 Montero?
I could be the 2nd Gen 3 going , if Montypower doesn't mind sharing the spotlight! :))

I heard of the rubicon but never even dreamt of going there. After reading this post tho, I can't possibly pass up this opportunity to meet some of my idols and traverse this infamous trail..

Here are my specs:

Tires -- 33" Cooper AT3
Traction -- ARB Front/Rear & Factory (to be done prior or I will not be going) Traction Control
Gears -- 4.90 (to be done with locker installation)
Armor -- skidplates, rock sliders, steel front bumper with 12,000 lb winch
Kids -- leaving Chester and Dottie at home
Tools - 301 tool peice set
Arrival Time - tbd

What do you guys say?

Btw I'm in Norcal, anybody else coming from here?

No way! We have a strict policy against multiple Gen 3's on the trail! As long as you are idolizing me we will let slide. :coffeedrink: One thing about these trails is they are just too tough and risky alone. But in a great group they are all doable and fun.

Ah, right i see that now. Either way you guys are gonna move the Gen 3 up a peg in the world of overloading/offroad expedition travel or whatever wheeling is called these days.

We're running a CB, typically with volume so low we can't hear but I imagine we'll be bring up the rear so i'll personally make sure nobody slips behind.
