it should really only be applied to a serious wound like arterial bleed or heavy venous that cant be stopped by pressure bandage, and after that your going to hospital anyway so they can remove and do whatever is necessary. I would not apply to anything less serious. great product, works!

Yeah, I just finished this thread and was thinking the same thing. Do they scrape it out? Youch if they do.

My dad (a veterinarian) used to use a yellow powder that was an antibiotic and a coagulant all in one. This thread and the article is making me think to ask him about that stuff.

I used to help with surgery when I was a kid so one of my jobs was to put this stuff in the animal. Came out of a little plastic bottle that looked like a nasal sprayer.
