silly 3rd gen cosmetic question

Ive been searching lightly for a 3rd gen and will probably get serious in a month or two. Which third gens had that spoiler above the rear door? Ive seen it on both xls and limited models. Was it a stand alone option?

I think it was just a cosmetic accessory. Not associated with a trim package, just the whim of the dealer when they ordered it.

I don't know about the one on the gen 3 but the spoiler on the Montero Sport kept the dirt off the rear window.

another silly cosmetic question....

can limited fog lights be added to the xls front bumper, do the fog light delete panels pop out allowing it? Are the harnesses still present in xls models?

The Gen III rear spoiler came as part of the 20th Anniversary Model trim package, otherwise it was a dealer or owner add on.

It's much more than a "cosmetic accessory"... Works amazingly well deflecting the wind and keeping the rear window clean. Especially nice on extending driving on dusty roads. Love mine.
