Simmering on a Coleman Stove

I've always had trouble with adjusting the flame on a Coleman stove. They ether start to creep higher or the knob just springs back when you lower the flame. I solved that this past weekend. You can call it ingenuity or coonass engineering but it works :sombrero:

That fancy tuning device is called a clothespin...lol

Oil the valve. Take the knob off, then add a drop of oil to the spot where the stem exits the valve. Turn the valve off/on to let the oil work in, and you'll have a valve that stays where you set it.

I've always lightly tapped on the knob to lower the flame that last bit. This lets me get the flame down low without it actually going out.
