We ran into a young couple getting ready to take a trail packing back into the Smokey's some where around "Yellow Face" back about four years ago, their first time out about 18-19 years old, The DW and I offered to help take some of their gear down the trail. There was a two burner stove, Wood, Tent, Bags, Cooler, Clothes, and much more in that pile, I being the great guy I am took the bag the young lady pointed to lifted it and asked "You must be staying for two weeks?" her reply "No just one night!" You see the funny thing I was there with this large heavy bag that I offered to carry down this steep trail head, it was a bag of CAN GOODS! We helped them repack their bags leaving, stove wood, can opener, cans, clothes and much more but that was after the Crying had stopped!
As we pack up I always tell the DW we only have a E-350 Van and remember Yellow Face! I think many can relate to this Guy in the van!
