Ok.... So all the more reason to not go to 9" tall.

Ugh so I thought that was going to be a useful chart.

It is useful, I just had to do quick math. I don't see why you can't get full travel based on your numbers. So either I'm missing something, or there is another factor involved.

Yeah I'm not understanding either....

The highest factory fronts I could find in a google search are in the 560lb range? Though The 4x4 units were lifted with a 2" longer spring or so. Ford then used a slightly lower spring rate to compensate.

Thnaks for looking!

Did a quick drive. Dropped pressures to 60psi. A little smoother, but I'm pretty sure I bottomed out on speed bumps. Not a huge improvement...

Reinflated to 8" or just under, maybe closer to 70-72, gauge isn't great, only a 2" and no 70 mark

Dropped tire pressure to 58

If you decide to go with coils, its not tough to make a coil spacer, or to simply have some custom coils made. They are not very expensive. Depending on length there may even be off-the-shelf units that meet your needs.

I'm not giving up on the bags yet.... But yes I am sure I could find an off the shelf spring that would work.

There are springs from 4800lb to 7000lb available for a 2008 F450.
The sticker in the door jamb will show what the truck was built with.

7000lb is a p/n 5C3Z-5310-AA
6500lb is a p/n 5C3Z-5310-BA

Part of the issue is that you have stiff tires and 1,000lbs of unsprung weight. Are you certain that the shocks are set to the lowest setting and not the highest? On my fox units if I set the low speed damping too high, the ride is very stiff.

Yes the stuff tires may be part of it.

Yes they are all the way soft on both high and low speed. I will double check though unless they are labeled wrong...
