Hi and low speed adjustment. I gave them my truck specs and axle weights etc, so hopefully they are well valved.

No real room for hydro bumps.

If your in Seattle lmk and you can drive it.

ahh ok well if its both speeds then it hopefully would be valved good. i mean, fox is good stuff....but migth be worth a phone call to them just to verify?

I will be in the area around christmas for a week - if you still have issues then we can maybe find a time to take a peak.

Also, food for thought, though it may not help or mean anything to you. From my understanding, a bag that is physically larger, meaning it has higher air reserve capacity, will operate smoother than a bag that is smaller with less air capacity, irregardless of its actual weight holding capability. Its like a small bore shock vs a large bore shock. not that you can really change that. I suppose my point being that, depeidning on the weight you are dealing with, the psi needed in the bag to support that weight, you possibly could be better off actually with just high quality coils. I would see about comparing spring rates between bags and springs with equal weight supporting capabilities. but a lower spring rate doesnt necessarily mean a better ride.
Yes that's why ping tanks are in the works. Supposedly lowers effective spring rate.

Hit me up when your around.

Another option...

I've used compression spring seats and I was looking at a F550 a few days ago trying to figure out if it was worth modifiy the cab mounts for air

I've thought about it. I'm going to try to quickly rig up the ping tanks first.... I got plugs so I can plug the fittings if needed. Just zip tie tanks to the bumper. Think 1 gal is enough tank size?

1 gal is good. Wouldn't go bigger. Line should be 3/8" or 1/2" is better. Definitly don't want that 90 degree elbow that is on there now.

Is there an bag with a larger fitting or can the bags be drilled and (upside down) tapped.

Any rust in the tanks will wear the inside of the sleeve type bags.

Interesting thought, air ride the whole cab.... I have a pass through though, and only ~2" clearance to the cabover.

I have 3/8" line and got fittings for that, so I am going to try it with the 3/8"

Will the rust from the tanks really make its way back to the bags?? These are old compressor tanks that I am sure have rust in them....

In theory I can drill and weld a second fitting onto the bag top if needed. I have spoken with someone who has done it many times. Just needs tig and slow careful welding.

I wouldn't worry about rust too much. Blow the tanks out good, and make sure the fitting is midway or higher above the tank bottom.

Cool, I could dump some por15 in also.

Be aware that any paint will take a long time to cure inside a tank. The moisture curing products like POR15 may be faster than solvent only ones though.

Yes. I've cut air bags open and seen the crap.

Take a look inside the tanks they should be OK of they were drained but if not..........

I would not use the tanks if there's cavitation corrosion inside. The rust will break off in hard beads.

Also risk the chance of the tank blowing up if it wasn't drained.

They were drained somewhat regularly. The are old company trim compressors. Ill see if I can snake a bore scope in one of the holes and take a peek.

Looking thru the firestone catalog, top bag is the one I am using now. Bottom one is same diameter but 2" taller. No internal bumpstop though. Build a new lower mount, add bumpstop somewhere, and have more travel?

Before leveling kit, so I should have 1.5" more between bump and axle now....

Maybe swap bags and go back to OE bumps? Leave the brackets as is or build new lower? Hmmmm

A different top mount might be better. Bottom looks like it gets real close to the shock on full bump. I don't think a taller bag will make that much difference. A larger diameter bag yes.

Have you thought about better seating options, air suspension eta.

might be easier than trying to find another suspension solution

If you aren't blowing shocks and having parts fall off, your probably not doing any damage to the chassis.
