Maybe I missed it but what's on the floor? Insulation, rubber etc?
It's 1/4" aluminum bed linered both sides. I will Insulate under the floor eventually. We are going to use vinyl plank floors with a little insulation Under them.

Here is a floor section, aluminum, some coating (the grey), then a boat load of bed liner.

OK I need some input. I can get a water tank that is 35 gallons, it will fit in my bench seat, barely. Its 36" long, and I have 37 1/2"....

Am I suicidal to try to make my connections on the end of the tank in 1 1/2"?

I was thinking of either using this fill and trying to line it up with the inlet of the tank.

The issue is the hose barb for the tank is 4" long..... Including the threaded part though, so in reality its ~3". I could likely trim the bard down a bit as well. I have 2" in the wall cavity to play with a well, but that only 3.5" total.

The other option is to use a 90 degree barb, and have the filler offset to one side. This may work, but the barb is also ~3" deep (incl threads)

Now can I get the hose to bend that tight even?? ugh.

Easy option is a smaller tank, but its more $$ and less water. Its a 3 gallon difference.

Plastic welder or two part epoxy is your friend.

Dispense with all of the pre-made barbs and screw on fittings.

A flanged adapter with a low profile neck could also be bolted or bonded to the tank, thereby allowing you to adapt hoses and fittings a bit further down the line where you likely have more space.

I was under the impression epoxy wont stick to polyethylene ?

Put the slats on the bed. One skinny one since math is hard.

Just measured mine. I'm using the 90-degree ell and 1-1/4" hose. It sticks out just a hair under 3" with the threads bottomed out in the tank so your estimate is right on. Maybe could use a PVC reduced then a smaller diameter ell (should stick out less) but then your fill hose would be smaller too.

ABS tanks allow for easy addition of custom fittings with ABS glue. Valterra makes the only ones I am familiar with (check Amazon).
