Just a suggestion, try Solar Seal to bond and seal your screw holes. It is UV stable and frankly I’ve seen it bond to every surface I’ve used it on. Most recently, my south facing window was leaking water from the outside to the inside...no bueno. Few years ago I used it on my screw holes on my galvanized metal Quonset hut barn. I attached aluminum flashing to the galvanized metal. It hasn’t leaked in 4 years. And it is still slightly flexible even after 4 years. The stuff seems indestructible. It comes in a standard caulk size tube. You can order it right off amazon. I usually have enough laying around at any given time to do a project. My local salvage-reclaim store always stocks it and I pick up 3-5 tubes at a time. Shingle comes off in the winter, no problem solar seal it. Window leaks during a storm, no problem solar seal it. Got a draft around a soffit, no problem solar seal it. you get the idea, it stands up to Michigan’s brutal winters with the high humidity swings.

And my Maxxfan over the bed quit going both directions, a quick email to their service department said it was most likely the board from my descriptions. Since I am a pack rat.... I still have the old Maxxfan I pulled out in the attic. Swapped guts around and its back to normal! No obvious component failures.

I'll bet Amazon or McMaster has those 'clamp Jackets". I'll look for them when I get a chance. My main computer crashed two days ago, so I ordered a new power supply and 4 monitor video card for it.

Welcome to the world of back pain, I live with it 24/7. Mine has gotten so bad, I can barely make it to the mailbox and back without having to stop and rest it.

Finally in expo white.
Yeah.... I feel like that today.... Sprained a tendon or ligament or something in my back. Not a slipped disk is the good news.

I feel your pain.
I had the same thing on Christmas eve, I could barely get out of bed for a week. It's still screwed up.

I used to have a lot of back issues from an old injury. Would throw my back out doing simple things like twisting with a small bag of trash. I needed to strengthen my core to keep the injured discs protected. I started training Muay Thai 14 years ago. I went to Thailand and trained 1 month every spring for a long time and train 3-4 days a week here. I haven't thrown my back out now in 14 years. Also that skill set is excellent to have when overlanding in places like Mexico etc!

Core strength is definetly my problem. Between my commute and work I sit 14+ hours a day.

Core is probably most people's problem. Mine is much better than it was a couple years ago, but obviously still need some help.

One more little project done. Light switch for the bathroom light. We never use it.... But its just been hanging wires for a couple years. At least I can turn it on and off if I want to now.

Start with a block, set up to route out the back for a wire pocket.
