Small update.
I got the interior paneling finished, installed a diesel heater and took it out for a test run.
We spent 3 nights in it up at the ski area and it was pretty comfortable overall.
It was set up it up with a futon, a cot and modular camping gear. Folding tables, Coleman stove, Dometic fridge cooler, camp chairs etc. Doing a shakedown run like this was good because we could shuffle the layout around a bit and find out what worked. I have a few 3-D models of various layouts and thought I had a winner selected but now I'm not so sure.
Futon loaded and ready to head out.
Most everything worked as expected.
The only thing I didn't like was that the screws I used to secure the interior paneling and half inch foam to the aluminum framing has some thermo-bridging and built up condensation during the night when the heater wasn't running. It was easy to wipe off but I'm considering replacing them with nylon push rivets.
The 2 small windows provided enough connection to the outside and I have no regrets on that aspect.
1.5" pink foam board in the floor felt adequate. The floor never felt too cold.
I think the best thing is the sconce lighting. It was just really nice in every way. The puck lights ended up being handy for the occasional zone spot light lighting for reading or doing other tasks but were rarely used.
