Skid plates and armor but no lift

I am planning the exact style build for my JK. Did the big lift and 35s and it wasn't for me. Back to almost stock now and planning on a winch and tons of armor. You will be amazed how far you can push these vehicles almost stock.

I know the rust, born and raised in NY. Brought my ZJ out west with me. In June I put a custom suspension up front and the arms were set a bit short so on the trail I had to hammer down the pinch weld and the inside corner of the fender. When hitting it with the sledge I hit a spot and the hammer went right through a nice rust spot. I have "custom air holes" in my hood, two rust spots that go all the way through.

If you have the ability to weld I would suggest rocker replacements instead of sliders. That way you aren't loosing clearance.
