Good question. On mine, I've broken 1.5 of the stock mounts for the front IFS skid. It wasn't so much the crossbar as it was the OEM fastener mounts that Bud reused for my application. It hasn't been a problem so far, as the remaining bolts are holding fine, but at some point I'll have to deal with it.
That's why I haven't done it sooner. Thanks.

Well I've decided to go with Skid Row.
My father seems to have a strong liking to it and plus I can get free shipping on it.
Who else is using a Skid Row skid plate?

A nearly unanimous vote for Bud, and you chose Skid Row. So much for random recommendations from random internet folks....;)

Well this is actually a christmas present. I voted Bud but my father decided Skid Row. Better than not having one at all though.

BudBuilt make a substantial set of 3/16 armor plate for the underside of your taco. its hefty have no doubt about that. my set ran about 180 so pounds

In defense of the Skid Row armor, the material thickness is equal to that of the BudBuilt unit, and the SKOR front plate utilizes all seven of the OEM mounts.

The SKOR plates come powdercoated, which explains the higher price.

Doesn't look like you can go wrong either way, really... :Astrologist:

Actually we found the Skid Row plates for exactly $1 cheaper and it has free shipping.

Either way, Skid Row or Bud Built I will be happy.

Oh, wow, did the BudBuilt front skid plate really jump to $249?

I hadn't even noticed that until now... Good to know.
