My favorite bit of gear for the last few years is leaving the NA market. Skotti Grills are a flat back butane/propane/charcoal grill that is compact and built well. Folds flat. They can be used as a grill, oven, fire pit, pizza oven.
Just wrapped a backpacking trip to the Wind River Indian Reservation and brought a Skotti. Had an Arapaho horse guide drop beers, steaks and various camp luxuries at 10,500 ft. The Skotti cooked primal filets, pizzas and was a fire pit on a rainy night.
They are a German company, clearing out NA ops and 40% off is a screaming deal. Entire basics package comes out to $240 including the lid (needed for baking). Get the skillet and pizza stone. It lives in my side box ready to get to business.
