Sleep 3 people in the back of a F150- what kind of basic camper?

We have a Casita 17' travel trailer that works great. However, our 2 boys are soon to outgrowing the little bunk beds they sleep in. I'm trying to find a minimalist "camper" that will fit in the bed of our '18 F150 (5.5' bed) for them to sleep in while we tow the Casita.

Bonus- If it can hold 3, then I could take the boys on some camping adventures and leave the trailer at home when momma and the dog don't go.

I'd love a 4 wheel camper raven shell, but that's just too expensive.

I don't need climate control or any appliances. Just out of the weather sleeping for 3 that's not on the ground in a wet tent.

Ideas?

if the cap isn't already purchased, would a taller than truck cab height model allow bunk bed style sleeping (no drawers)? a sheet of plywood on the truck bed floor and another layer built on legs half way up.

a bit cozy, but good practice for the final dirt-nap. might make you appreciate the great outdoors all the more.

Find a BedRug for your model. Padded, super easy to clean, adds a bit of insulation, can put sleeping pads right on the floor. Easy on the knees for us old guys.
