Sleeping in the cab?

A guy on another forum has one for his dodge quad cab, says it cost around 2,000 bucks though :smileeek: He gets real good use out of it, not sure I would spend 2 grand on just that....

Uhhhh... ya, I'll pass. Don't need something that's DOT approved. Some good ideas in the design though.

ditto that 2K is stupid high (unless theres some unforseen manu problems). IMHO it shouldn't cost over $500 max

seems it shouldn't be too difficult to build a simple platform that raised a cot mattress to that heigth, then have a couple sheetmetal pans built that would fit into your open window (and be easily removable)
 
Price seems high but I'm guessing a good chunk of that is the mattress. Iwonder if you could just buy the window part and build the rest
