Ladies and Gentlemen...
I have, for your consideration, one custom-built, unused, two-piece sleeping platform. I constructed this platform from 5/8" ply based on the interior dimensions of my '85 4Runner. There are two pieces - one that fills the cargo area with the seats up and one that fills the gap up to the front seats when the seats are down. The front portion has a hinge to allow access to the storage beneath from the front seats.
I designed it to fit an Engel MT35 inside of the left partition of the cargo area section. This bit of ingenuity, on my part, made it too high for a normal person to sleep without constantly ramming his or her head into the top of the truck. So, it's for sale! I'm not sure what sort of trucks it will fit, but here are the dimensions:
Cargo Section -
Base - 40" wide x 42" long - Fits snugly between the wheelwells and up against the back of the rear seats
Top - 44" wide x 34.5" long - Snug to the top of the rear seats with room to spare on the sides. I was planning to add hinged wings to the sides. Never happened. I angled the sides to match the angle of the seat, so it fits flush. This thing supports my 210 lb body stomping around on top of it. It is now covered with grey, indoor/outdoor carpet and has 3/8" padding underneath.
Front Section -
Base - 38.5" wide x 18" long
Top - 44" wide x 32" long
The sides of this piece are also angled to match up with the angle of the rear. This one isn't as hefty. it's covered with matching carpet and padding.
Here's a pic of the cargo section under construction so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about:
