Sliders, care to share what you have on your Jeep?

So I'm looking for some sliders, but many too choose from.
If you could please put some pictures up and some comments about the ones you have. If you know of others please post up the link.

I really like the Cherokee Stage 2 Rock Sliders by JCR.

I have a 1999 XJ if that matters...

thanks!

Yep, definitely helps to know what rig they are going on!

I had (I believe) JCR sliders on my XJ, and loved them. They held up great! (and still are! They are on their 3rd XJ right now!)

Only thing I didn;t like, was the powder coating. (This is not exclusive to JCR, but any company)

The problem with powder coating on anything that will contact rocks, is that it chips. And once chipped, it's pretty much ugly looking within a year.

I prefer bare steel or primered parts that will see any rock nicks/damage. Then I can paint them the color I want, and touch them up as needed.

Just be sure and get a set that mounts both to the pinch seam, and the 'frame' rail part.

I have those stage 2 sliders. They come un painted so add 3 cans of primer and 5 cans of paint to the cost. Plus plan some sanding time and a week to let it dry. I had to cut off the pinch weld mount and move it an inch to get it to line up on my 98 and it was hardly tacked on anyway. Test fit and drill your holes before you paint them. I just finished building bumpers and worked on my rig for months so I decided to treat myself to a bolt on part. It was not bolt on and as easy as sliders would be to make I was sorry I didn't. Mine have been bashed hard and I've dropped several feet onto them with only minor dents and tweaks to them. I'd look for powder coated ones or a local builder to save time and money but overall the JCR's work.

I run the JCR's on my WJ, and it's the most used mod I have. I did get an extra thick powder coating put on it too.

best ones ive seen (in my opinion) are where you cut out the rockers and weld in some square tubing, really stiffens the body up.

You also gain 2-3" of clearance.

All J Boulder Bars. Very good construction, fit and installation. And no, I don't touch up the bash marks.

AJ's Super RockRails. I was torn between these and JCR's. At that point in time, JCR was having some fitment issues with the rock rails so I decided against JCR and went with AJ's. These sliders are very stout and are awesome. They mount to the unibody, as well as the the pinch seam. IMO, they are the best looking sliders out there!

MCObray, how many attachment points do those have?

thanks.

Two attachments to the uni-body and four attachments to the pinch seam. 4 screws on the front-suspension side (first picture) , 3 screws on the rear-suspension side (second picture).
