Slippery Sliders!

So does anyone know of a good anti-slip tape that I can put on my sliders that won't tear the skin off the legs of my passengers when they rub against it? I've tried regular anti-skid tape from the hardware store but it's way too abrasive. I remember seeing some a long time ago while searching the web but can not find it now.

Got any boat places around you? I have Yamaha water sports (corporate distribution) next to the warehouse I work in. One of the guys gave some grip tape/cutouts for PWC/boat that had grip but was still easy on bare skin. I think the stuff he gave me was for the deck on the ski boats. It was about 6 inches wide so would need to be cut down.

I installed marine non-slip tape on my PWC trailer some years ago.
Came in a roll about 2-3" wide as I recall.
Never had a problem with walking barefoot on them.

I wonder if it could be treated with a generous coating of bedliner?
If I ever shoot my rockers with bedliner, I had considered doing the bars too.

You could also try some spray paint or epoxy, put salt/sugar/sand in it when wet, let the paint dry, brush off the salt/sugar/sand and put another thin layer of paint over it. There also used to be a product called Redeck that I liked, but I'm not sure where to find it.

West Marine by Park Meadows may have it, but I would much rather give my money to a family business like Jamestown.

Any of the marine application stuff should be bare-skin friendly...but wont work as well as the super-abrasive stuff when it gets a coat of mud on it.

If you want to go the CBOA route...go to the dollar store and buy some of those non-skid things you put in the bottom of your bath tub. As a bonus, you can get them pre-cut in the shape of fish or flowers.
