A wet finger out the window is the same as a MAF; right? :ylsmoke:

Fact: 1978 Chevrolet K10, 2005 Vortec 8.1L, NV4500, NP205 IS one of the sickest builds on this forum. FACT the list of advantages to EFI is endless. Carbs are not that awesome. Sorry. I understand every point you made, and would not own one. I live in Phoenix I am going to go through a 6k elevation change regularly and just don't want to adjust. Nothing wrong with a carb its just a "trapper Keeper" compared to MS Excel. Do you still balance your check book using the memo page at the end?

who cares what is or isnt better,,,stick with what works for you and your needs. If you do not have something constructive to add,,have a big glass of "shut it"

Fact: I never bashed larry or his build Fact: I agree he has a nice truck. Fact: I built MY truck different Than he did. Fact: I never said a carb was awesome, I said it does what I need for far less money Fact: your post has ZERO value in my thread. Fact: I dont use a check book. Fact: You put "sorry" in the middle of your post bashing me, (whats the point in that?). Fact: my rant was about emissions but may have been interpeted wrong. Fact: stock 87-95 EFI on chevy trucks are garbage. Fact: aftermarket EFI That will handle the engine in my truck is expencive. Fact: I am not the smartest, richest, or coolest kid on the block. Fact: I dont really care what you think of me or my build but its disrespectful to come in a guys thread and start passive agressivly bashing it.

Thats a lot of facts.
You got a bit defensive about carb use.. Maybe I read it wrong.

Hopefully I can get back on track, but before that can happen, I must admit my shortcommings and appoligize if I have rubbed people the wrong way.
I am a hot head, I am quick to loose my cool. I also dont communicate well, and know that a rant I intend to be in general can be taken personally by some. So to clear things up, my responce to Larry was not meant to be agressive/defencive but to explain my reason for running a carb. I then went on to Rant about the automotive industry in general. I failed to make that a clear transition from one thought to another. So I am sorry if I came off the wrong way.

I have been told a real man has to admit his faults and activly try to change them for the better.

I am Italian and being a smart @$$ is genetic.. Sorry if I ruffled feathers, bro.

Back on track, I think this would be a good destination for your build. (this is a 95) Maybe a camper top of some sort. Just my .02. You thinking about SAS?

Thanks!
Thats a nice looking truck there. You know I do actually have a SAS kit that was for my last truck. The thought has crossed my mind a time or 2. But For some reason I just dont want to go big and most SAS kits, including the one I have, build in a lot of lift. (kinda nesissary for oil pan clearance). I think the kit I have gives 6 inches with stock ford leaf springs and is for a ford front axle. I really dont remember what brand my kit is, it was actually a gift from a friend and I didnt keep the boxes it came in and didn't ever use it. I did notice SKY now has a 2" lift SAS kit for a chevy axle, and I happen to have a pass drop NP241 transfer case. Another thing is I usually get snowball syndrome in a project. You know "if Im going to do that, I might as well......." pretty soon my truck is all tore appart and I run out of either time or money to finish it. So I need to refrain and avoid that pitfall.

The temptation is constantly pulling on me though because I honestly have everything I need to do a SAS and can go almost any direction with it.
I have the SAS kit with drag link and tie rod for ford
I have a 93 F350 with a D60 (balljoint)
I have numberous chevy front axles from 10B 6 lug to D44 8 lug and even a king pin D60
I have the pass drop tranfer case
driver drop tranfercase is already in the truck
both ford and chevy rear axles to match any front axle I use
Crossover highsteer steering kit for D60
the knowlage and ability

Its hard to say no but its hard to dig in that deep as well.
No topper though, I would rather have a small camp trailer.
