small HVAC unit for small camper

Thanks. I remembered that Carlyle used a unit designed for teardrop campers, but in re-reading his thread I found the following:

The AC is a Little Guy Trailer ac and looks like it is an adapted dog kennel ac of all things. Works great and minimal draw on the battery bank.

A couple came today during the load, took one look at it and ordered one for their Alaskan.

The air conditioner system works great! When hot out you need to turn it on early as it takes a long time to actually cool rather than just keep up with the inside temp when it's 100+ degrees outside.

Also, I recall reading a build somewhere that had AC only in the sleeping area. The builder reasoned that the only thing he really needed AC for was sleeping, and by only cooling the sleeping area he could use a very small unit. Sorry, don't remember the build to give proper credit.

Anyway, I just ran across this craigslist ad earlier, and thought someone here might be interested.

Hahaha!
I really didn't know that you could cool your pooch!
How do you get him/her to close the door behind them?

I guess if you want to keep an arctic wolf in Miami he might need a bid of relief from the heat.

Kidding aside, the BTU per dollar and the low power input mean two of these things could compete with one of the 24v A/C units discussed in the other thread. With the advantage of not adding height to the camper box, and being able to modulate two zones independantly.

Only problem is they're 120V and I had planned to get a really big 220v inverter to run dishwasher and clothes washer. I wonder if the same exists in 220V
