SMB + Steele Pass?

Tried a couple different search strings and found nothing on this. I'm posting here for the most direct exposure, but feel free to move if more appropriate elsewhere.

I'm looking at a trip over Steele Pass. I've been over it several times, the last in my '91 Suburban which felt like I was crowding the limits at the Narrows. The issue is that I'm dealing with a friend of a friend with an SMB who wants to go and I'm concerned about getting an SMB through the narrows on the Eureka side of Steele. I've no doubt that an SMB is capable of this obstacle, I'm more worried about it physically fitting without tearing it up.

Are there any SMB pilots with experience there?

I went through in my van, so a SMB should be no problem. There is a healthy ledge in the area you're talking about, but you can go around it. When I was at the top of the pass heading down, a guy that was there said "You're not gonna make it". So I was a little stressed, but made it. The squeeze was tight, but I made it through.

I took my Defender 130 through there on several occasions, one time with a roof top tent on the rack. This made my truck very tall and at least as tall as a SMB. It is doable. It seems to change every year though. Sometimes it is stacked with rocks and other times it is tougher or more fun:)
The first time I went through it back in 1985 it was completely filled in with gravel. You could have driven a Cadillac through the Narrows without a worry.

Thank you all, I had thought that this was possible, but when at least somewhat responsible for someone else's rig it's nice to know that it has been done before.
