Hello Expo :)

Just wanted to drop in and say hi!

We are Expedition Portal's newest supporting vendor looking forward to learning from you and providing our share of contributions to this great forum.

We specialize in offering excellent pricing for items for your expedition vehicles. This can be from suspensions - to lights and floor mats - to recovery gear.

How do we plan to offer this competitive pricing?

Via group buys :sombrero:

Who doesn't love a good group buy?

Do you have any suggestions?

Do you have any ideas?

While we discuss, stay posted for our first two group buys - exclusive for ExPo members!

-Ray

So is that the premise behind "Snapdive"? It's a group buy facilitator of some sort? What makes it worth your time? And what makes it worth ours? Enquiring minds want to know.

in simplest terms, yes, Snapdive is a group facilitator for everyone's benefit.

What makes it worth my time?

Well there's a story behind it:

When I was building my previous Tacoma, I remember seeing a group buy on a 4runner forum for a roof rack. I don't remember the brand at the moment. The vendor had Tacoma roof racks in stock and was willing to do the deal for a few non 4runner guys. Well the group buy host wouldn't let me jump in the group buy for me to buy one for the Tacoma, since the deal was only for 4runner guys. During the next couple of months, this group buy organizer kept putting group buys together and wouldn't let me participate because I was purchasing for a Tacoma and not a 4runner. So I went ahead and asked him if he would post it on the Tacoma forums so he can meet his group buy quota sooner and get maximum discount.

Of course, he said no. That's when I decided to start organizing my own group buys and make them available for everyone.

That's the short version of the story, and I would say that is what makes it worth my time. Being able to organize these great deals for everyone thru vendor relationships that we establish.
We listen to what you want, we try and establish a relationship with the vendor, and we get a group buy going.

The people that end up winning are the group buy participants - great deals and great customer service.

Hi Ray,

I'd put money down for a Hannibal Awning and I'm sure there are more than a few people here that would do the same.

Thanks,
-Jeff

What's the long version of the story? What do you get out of organizing group buys...other than satisfaction of helping others?
