Snapdive's General discussion thread - Group buys!

Either your website or my iPad isn't working properly, there aren't any obvious links to any of your sales on the home page other than by searching. That requires that I know what you're already offering. I searched for "Hi Lift" and found the current offer. $112 plus shipping I presume since there's no mention of shipping bring included nor can I easily find what the shipping costs are.

I can buy the exact 3 items that you're currently offering for $123 and change including shipping from Amazon and have them at my door in 2 days. Which reminds me I need a new base for my Hi Lift...

I'm being blunt, not rude. I like the idea, I participate in Massdrop group buys several times per year. I've participated in numerous group buys for motorcycle products and for Expo related stuff that were organized by individuals that were fun and resulted in decent if not great deals. So tell me why I should sign up for your service?

The website recently got a facelift. We have been working on some of the glitches lately, thank you soo much for pointing that out to us!

Free shipping is included with the deal.

Yep...

Enthusiasm is great, avoidance, not so much.

I won't go into the whole overuse of exclamation points...
What is the point to answer the question? Thats not the topic of discussion; nor is this the manner in which the topic is discussed. Private message. Too many internet warriors dropping .02 when not needed. If we refer back to the premise of the thread we can hopefully get back on track.....

I would be interested on a storage drawer and awning group buy of whatever the popular flavor being.

Hm... 3 posts and crapping on established members wondering who this new person organizing group buys is...

Someone wants to take money from us with none of the traditional "group buy" advantages of a discounted price, and can't explain where he benefits from the deal, and doesn't seem to have an established business... That *is* the point of this thread. To ask questions. Why should it be reserved to private message? Why shouldn't it be public knowledge? A retailer has a business and operates for a profit. This guy is claiming to gain nothing more than that "warm fuzzy feeling" from helping random strangers on the internet.

As much as I like to support sponsors of this site, I find the consistent non-answers to sincere questions being posed by forum members to be off-putting.

The problem with "snappy" answers, more clever than informative in substance ... is that such answers do nothing to inspire the confidence required to send somebody a large sum of money as part of a group-buy.

Further, when the group-buy offers no apparent financial incentive, suspicion as to the motive of the person organizing the group buy becomes another potential concern.

Generally, the complete lack of sincere answers, and no apparent financial savings seem to make this effort a non-starter ... at least for now.

I'm out. You can't even answer a question. He asked why he should buy from you ! ****** answer the question .

Happykamper,

For some reason I thought already answered this question, I apologize.

I start group buys to help you guys save some money on items. Saving money is a reason to buy from us! :)

Hope your weekend is well.

thethePete, hope you are having a good weekend as well.

Of course, We wouldn't deny making any profits over the group buys we put together, profits are one of the reasons people establish businesses. This "warm fuzzy feeling" is just another reason people would want to start a business. We all know the love of a hobby is another reason to start a business, to want to help people build and work their hobbies. In this case overlanding or in general, offroading.

I'd like to see a Goal Zero group buy. I emailed them asking if they'd be willing to set one up and they said they don't have a group buy program. Maybe someone else can have better luck with them...
