Thanks for showing me where the other pics were, I really lile some parts of the design. I added then to my roll cage'roof rack file for reference.

Is this an early version of this snorkel or something?

I thought the Safari snorkel was designed to be completely above the character crease in the front fender...

Or am I confusing it with a different manufacturer's snorkel?

Well since I did not have any directions, I just followed the pic from there website which shows it being mounted right on the crease, the snorkel itself has a crease in it to help with the alignment, which helped with the install.

I bet your thinking of the Air Flow Snorkel, that one looks like it mounts above the crease, which it is also for NON ABS XJ's. I have ABS.

I made my own airbox adapter and have it coming into the side of the airbox since my snorkel was missing the box adapter. It gets the hose out of the way better if you ask me, and its a little more direct run to the box. I also removed my fender to make it easier for installation.

Mine is also on the body line.

Ah, yes. You are correct - the ol' brain pan muddled the vendors.

I have the Air flow on mine and it is great. Didnt have to take off the washer bottle.
