it was killing me, not owning my 1999 F250 with the 7.3 Powerstroke anymore. I had to do it. I needed to have that diesel feeling again.

So I bought myself a 2008 F250 Lariat 4x4 crew cab short bed with a few mods done to it. It was owned by Jeff of Spartan Diesel

Spartan tuning (standard and custom)
Spartan TCM
4" Powerstroker67 ceramic coated downpipe
5" Flo-Pro exhaust w/muffler and 6" stainless MBRP tip
No Limit Fabrication cold air intake
No Limit Fabrication CAC pipe/intake elbow (powder coated white)
EGR cooler delete
Elite head studs
Elite 71mm atmosphere turbo (billet Precision wheel)
Air Dog II DF-165
SunCoast transmission
River City Diesel torque converter
20x9 BMF Novakanes
305/55/20 Toyo Open Country AT/2's
Bilstein 5160 reservoir shocks
PMF traction bars (not currently installed)
Recon smoked cab lights and mirror lights
6000k HID Headlights and Foglights

641rwhp uncorrected, fuel only

ran a 12.2@108 on stock turbos and fuel only. should run a 11.90's now

now for me to get home from Afghanistan so I can drive it!!! My 2000 Silverado Z71 is going to my 15yr old son for his first vehicle (hey its paid off, why not?). I have already bought a 24" LED lightbar to put into the center opening of the front bumper, more to follow!

Congrats man. Stay safe over in A-Stan so you can get back and drive that thing.

A diesel f250 is going to find her way into my drive by next spring. I've entertained LR4s, Land Cruisers and even the VW Touraeg (not for off road) but that F250 will do everything that I want.

Now just need to decide on 3> old or new.

What was the decision to go with used model?

Nice looking truck, it's a sleeper! Stay safe, I know when I was there last year I could not wait to come home and drive my D-Max.

I didn't want the truck payment of a new truck. This truck put me in the middle of the price range I was looking at, so it was a no brainer for me.
