Solar Panel Mounted On AutoHome Columbus?

Hey everyone,

I've been thinking of adding a 100w panel to my Columbus RTT in the next year. I've seen a couple pictures of solar panels mounted on hard shell RTTs but cant find any info or detailed pictures on how they did it.

Do you have to reinforce the shell? Remove the liner or just drill through? Bigger gas struts for weight of panel?

Any info or input would be great!

Thanks,

I was looking into the same thing when evaluating some hard shell RTTs. Someone mentioned that there are some epoxy studs that you can get. These either have threaded holes, or can be threaded to screw to the solar panel to, so as to avoid drilling the RTT.

All hearsay, I haven't had a chance to research that item yet. Hoping someone here on expo knows.
