Maryland Pinz
Observer
****SOLD****
Here's one for the East Coast Pinzgauer enthusiasts! I bought this Pinz a couple of years ago. The truck was running rough when I bought it, but everything else was working fine otherwise. Since then, I did a very basic tuneup (fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor, distributor cap, etc.) and got her running very good. I drove her around weekly for about a year, then out of nowhere, she started running rough again and that's the way she is right now. I don't have the time/knowledge to get her running right so it's time for a new owner who will take good care of her. I suspect that the rough running is is either the "Red Death" or an issue w/ the timing/distributor, but I'm not a mechanic so I can't say for sure. BTW, for those who don't know what "Red Death" is, it happens when a lining that Pinzgauer's have inside their gas tank starts to de-laminate and particles of the lining show up in the fuel filter, etc. I was going to get the tank fixed (Approx. $500 locally), but never got around to it. Only other known issue is that I noticed the brakes are low on fluid, so I suspect a leak somewhere. This was never an issue last year when I drove her around weekly, but I noticed it recently. The roof rack is currently off the truck, but everything worked fine before I removed it. I still have it--it's just not installed. The "PotomacMotorsport.com" logo has been removed since the pictures. I'd like to get $16,600 for her. Call me on my cell at 301-524-0463 or email me at dr.gilbart@comcast.net if you are interested. Thanks for taking a look!
Sincerely,
Jonathan
