100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser. PRICE REDUCED TO $6,500. Located in NW Arkansas.
Good condition, but not perfect. This has been my camping and exploring rig for the last five years and it has been great. I’m selling it to make room for my new Subaru Crosstrek hybrid.
The Good:
The vehicle has 237,000 miles. The engine is strong and uses almost no oil between oil changes. The BF Goodrich AT tires are just a couple of years old and have little wear. (I worked from home, so didn’t drive it very much). Rear brakes are new. Front brakes have lots of life left. The radiator was replaced a couple of years ago.
This is a very capable rig that still looks good. I have maintenance records from the time I have owned it and from the previous owner. Timing belt and water pump have been replaced.
The Less Good:
The back two rows of seats have been removed. Front seats only. With the back seats removed, a twin sized air mattress fits perfectly.
There is some rust, but my mechanic states the frame is solid.
The touch screen is frozen up, but it is not required. There are also buttons that operate the climate control and radio. There is a company in California that fixes this and there are Chinese replacements for the touch screen.
The motorized antenna doesn’t extend.
The antilock brake module is failing. The stability control, traction control, and antilock brake lights will sometimes be lit. Also, the windshield is cracked.
