2004 Cub Kamparoo Weekender Transcontinental (Price Drop)
Price: $3,500 (I am dropping the price as I need to sell this and stop paying storage fees)
Location: St. Louis, MO, USA (Actually in storage in Memphis, TN so I could meet there if you are interested)
Pictures posted below description.
We've purchased a different setup, so this great camper needs to go. So, here it is:
-2004 Cub Kamparoo Weekender Transcontinental (the Transcontinental is the off-road version)
-14 1/2 feet long when opened (7'3" closed plus 5' tongue) 5' 6' wide, underbed storage with lift-up panel for easier access as well as an access door on the side, "well" under bed for more storage (I'm going from memory here) 30" wide, 20" across by 10" deep. (If it is important, ask me to measure it to be sure.)
-PLENTY of head room, the top, when open, is about 9' and goes to around 5.5' at the end of the door.
-60” wide bed accommodates a queen-size 3” mattress (no mattress included).
-Side pull-out "kitchen" includes sink with pump from 15 gallon built-in water tank, with storage inside pull-out.
-Room on floor for a bunk cots, sleeping bags for 3 kids (or two adults) or queen mattress or small table and chairs when weather isn't cooperative.
-Tires (General Grabber AT2, 27X8.5 R14) are ~5 years old with less than 15k miles on them. Older spare tire.
-Zip-on awning with side-wall that covers the kitchen area (can be rolled up when not needed).
-TREG Hitch (multi-axis hitch works similar to the max-coupler)
-48” mounted storage box (added one year ago)
-The top of the camper serves as a nice carry rack,
-Some of the toughest canvas in the world,
-Screened windows on every wall with plastic zip-up vinyl on inside and canvas window flaps with velcro to close against body on the outside and can be rolled up.
-2500 lb axle (less than one year old)
I switched out the stock axle with a 2500# and replaced the smaller factory galvanized storage box with a proper size storage box capable of holding a lot of your camping gear.
I bought this camper in April 2015. It has been camping through 2 rains (one of which it rained non-stop for 3 days straight) and zero leaks. All of the windows are in awesome shape, not yellowed at all. The screens are also in great shape - no rips are tears.
Roughly weighs about 1000 lb's, super light and easy to tow. Previous owner towed with a Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Includes a full awing with all the poles. Has slide out kitchen with 15 Gallon Fresh water tank with manual pump.
Free and clear title in hand.
Known issues:
Prior to my ownership, the canvas was repaired on both sides, close to the hinges. I can attest that the repair does not leak, as we have camped in heavy rain. According to the previous owner: "There was damage to the canvas (that has been repaired.... not very neatly, tho) and during the repair of one of the zippers on the door, there are now stitch marks in the canvas where the person at the canvas shop managed to sew a little bit of the side wall with the zipper."
Here is a picture of one of the repairs. The other side has an identical repair.

For those that don't know about Cub Campers - Cub is made in Australia. Built on a bullet-proof-chassis of 100% Aussie Bluescope steel, and featuring hard-wearing Australian Made canvas, a Cub Camper is built to last.
Cub is also famous for its ezy-wind system which ensures a lightening quick-setup.
Another advantage Cub has over its competitors is its fantastic resale value.
A Cub camper is designed to travel low, which minimizes wind drag and greatly assists with fuel economy.
Post or PM me if you have any questions.
If you'd like to speak on the phone, PM or post your phone number and I'll call you. Thank you.
