2004 Toyota 4Runner Limited V8 4WD - 189k miles - $14,900
Located in Erie, Colorado
The Story:
We purchased this vehicle in 2012 with 103k miles on the odometer and it was bone stock. Its sole purpose was to be used as a commuter for my wife. This, amongst other reasons (my OCD), is why it had to be perfect. Fast forward 7 years and only 86k miles, the truck was retired from commuting duty and transformed in to our company (Off-Grid Engineering, LLC) show vehicle. This means that every modification performed had to not only function perfectly, but had to be over-the-top beautiful. It also means… that most of these mods never actually got used as hard as they were meant to be used. Thats the good part for you. This is a fresh build and most of the parts can be considered brand new.
*If you are the type of person that does not feel that modifications, especially tasteful ones, do not add to the value of the vehicle, then this is probably not the one for you. I have priced this vehicle according to the recent and consistent maintenance, the OEM parts used during maintenance, as well as the high-end accessories. This is a true turn-key vehicle that should easily last another 100k or more without much trouble.
The Vehicle:
All following modifications installed at 180k
Suspension:
There’s not much honestly, but here it goes…
A LOT MORE PICTURES ARE COMING.

The Vehicle:

- 2UZFE V8 Engine
- Automatic Transmission
- Full-time 4WD with center diff lock and low range
- White paint exterior in excellent condition
- Tan leather interior in excellent condition, small tear in drivers seat bolster
- Timing belt services performed at 103k and 170k (Next service: 260k): These services included replacement timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, cam seals, all belts, upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat, coolant flush and fill, oil/ filter change, transmission flush and fill, power steering flush and fill. Only OEM Toyota parts used.
- Every 30k service: Transfer case oil change. Front and rear differential oil change. Engine and cabin air filters. Appropriate spec Amsoil fluids used in T-Case, transmission, and differentials.

- Complete front end rebuild at 160k. I honestly did this because of a torn CV boot and I thought it would be a good time to do everything needed to last the rest of the life of the vehicle. New OEM lower control arms with OEM ball joints. New OEM alignment cams and bolts. New NAPA premium CV axles, both sides. New NAPA premium outer tie rods. New OEM steering boots. New OEM inner and outer wheel seals.
- Complete brake job completed at 185k. New OEM front rotors. Machined OEM rear rotors. OEM brake pads front and rear. Cleaned and adjusted parking brake. Complete brake system flush and fill.

There’s not much honestly, but here it goes…
- When we purchased the vehicle, we didn’t notice a small wrinkle in the tailgate and of course the dealer disclosed nothing. It looks as though it may have been a small dent at one point but was repaired. It took me almost a year to notice it. It doesnt affect anything.
- As mentioned before, there is a small tear in the outside bolster of the drivers seat.
- Various minor scratches exist in the interior paneling. Nothing major. Consistent with use as an SUV for 189k miles.
- Absolutely no known current issues, mechanical or otherwise
- EVERYTHING works as intended from the factory.
