SOLD

I'm selling a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. It has a clean carfax and only 66K miles. The TJ rubicon unlimited or LJ was only built for 2 years (2005 & 2006) and they are really hard to find. This one came fully loaded with the OEM navigation head unit and Sirius satalite radio. Only the best parts have been used building this Jeep. Probably easily $10K in modifications to this jeep. I built this to be my camping/exploring vehicle. All the modifications were done within the last 5K miles. It was never wheeled real hard, toughtest trail it has done is John Bull in big bear or Hole in the Rock 4x4 trail in Utah. It is still 100% streetable and could be driven daily with out any issues. The Jeep is patriot blue in color and comes with the original full hard doors and a set of OEM half doors with soft uppers. The inside has been professionally sprayed with Line X spray on bedliner. I still have the original carpet that will go with it as well. It is ready to go as is and needs nothing, everything works! The following is a list of modifications.

5 35 12.50 15 BFG KM2 with less than 2K miles on them with warranties from discount tire
5 American racing 15x8 aluminum wheels
Currie 4" springs
Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks
Rancho steering stabalizer
Currie currectlync steering
Currie antirock front sway bar
Currie front HD trak bar
JKS rear trak bar
Rockmen adjustable upper and lower front and rear control arms (all 8 arms)
Rockmen adjustable bump stops front and rear
1" body lift
1" JKS motor mount lift
Rockmen belly up skid plate
Adams driveshaft high angle drivelines front and rear
Barnes 4x4 stubby front bumper
12volt guy incab winch controls
rubicon express hand throttle
York 210 on board air compressor with offroad only mounting bracket (hands down the best option for oba and airing up tires!)
Smittybilt rear bumper/tire carrier
boat side sliders
airaid cold air intake
custom exhaust tucked up high and out of the way
Viper alarm
back trail outfitters saddle bags
PIAA off road lights
IGGEE seat covers front and rear
Spider web shade
Softopper frameless soft top (Grey)
New unused OEM soft top and frame minus windows
CB radio
Poison spyder hood louvers (included but not installed)
cooltech towing harness for flat towing behind my truck camper

The following is a list of maintenance items that have also been replaced in the last 5K miles
Serpentine belt, belt tensioner, front axle shaft u joints, front axle seals, front wheel bearings, throw out bearing, spark plugs, gas tank fuel filler hose (GM unit installed with a flap so it doesn't overflow while fuelling up). Larry at Vegas 4x4 recently did a 4 wheel alignment and properly set the caster, pinion angle, toe, and wheel base.

If you price out some of these modifications you will see how the $ adds up quicky. I'm not in a hurry to sell it and I'm not going to give it away. I can possibly sell it for less if I take some items off such as the half doors, OBA, etc...

For the asking price you get everything listed including both sets of doors and all the extra parts I have laying in my garage as well. I will get some better pictures up this weekend as well as some interior pics.

$22000

Automatic or manual?

Any pictures of the suspension/undercarriage and of the condition of seats?

Are you the original owner? And has the jeep always been in Vegas or other similarly low humidity environment?

Thanks much.

6 speed manual

I am going to get some better pictures of the interior and undercarriage this weekend. The seats are clean no rips or tears. I can try and take the seat covers off and snap a couple pictures of them as well.

I am the 3rd owner and the previous owners lived in southern utah/st. George area which is basically the same climate as Las Vegas. I can assure you there is no rust just some very light surface rust on the axles in places where there was probably bare metal from the factory.

Couple other items I forgot to mention.

Extended stainless braided brake lines front and rear.
Rotors were turned and new brake pads installed about 5k miles ago.
Fluid in both diffs, transmission, and transfercase all changed less than 5k miles ago.
Custom cooking oven box attached to the top of the muffler. Works great for heating up food while your on the go! I know the oven box is hard to picture so I will get some pics of that as well.
Bestop bikini top
Bestop duster cover
Rugged ridge all weather floor liners/mats
Tuffy security products locking center console and locking glove box. Nice to have when you running a soft top or no top...
Barnes 4x4 rear bumper reinforcement brackets

I need to stop I'm making myself sick...

Bump

I added a link to the craigslist add in the original post. The craigslist add has 24 pictures of the jeep. I didn't see anything in the rules stating this was not ok, but if it's no ok I will take down the link. The fridge, winch, trailgater, and propane bottle/bracket have been removed and the price lowered slightly. Those items are still in my garage and available for the rite price...

I can also assist in partial delivery to anyone that's interested. I can flat tow it behind my truck and would be willing to travel up to 300 or so miles if the buyer is willing to pay my fuel expenses.

Thanks, John

I wonder were that goes..
Alright people....we need to get this sold. This is probably one of the finest examples of a LJ on the market. Low mile LJ rubicons don't come up everyday and this one not only is in excellent condition but it is also very well built. John builds and maintains his vehicles in a similar fashion that an Olympic athlete builds and maintains his or her body.....he is dedicated to his craft.
But let's get to the real reasons we need to ban together and find this unicorn a new stable. First off....John is a Toyota man. His user name is vegastoy for Petes sake and he's not a male stripper! Try to imagine how difficult it must be for him to be the ONLY Jeep in a large group of Toyotas.....banished to the back of the pack in an attempt to hide his differences. He's always told that he is welcome by the other guys, no matter his vehicle choice.....but he is also left to wonder how sincere they really are. As if the above is not reason enough for anyone in the market for an LJ to purchase this fine piece of machinery......the last and perhaps most important point should seal the deal for the expo community at large. John, his soon to be wife, and his dogs are missing adventures at this point. Just last night I returned from yet another remarkable trip on the Mojave road and John decided not to join me as his rig is "prepped for sale"......now that is a damn shame people. So we need to reach out to all of our Jeep loving friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers....let them know how important the sale of this jeep really is for John, his family and friends and for the overlanding community as a whole.....
