Location: Torrance, CA 90503
**NEW PRICE** $55,000

Mileage: 16,100

What this truck is...an ultra clean, very low mileage, thoughtfully built, understated but crazy capable, nimble and fuel efficient rig.

What it is not...an overladen, flashy, look-at-me street princess with grossly oversized tires, color matched components and superfluous overlanding bits hanging off all sides.
  • Many upgrades, additions, and extras, as detailed below
  • This is a package sale; I will not split the truck and camper
  • I am the Original owner of this vehicle
  • Averaging ~21.7mpg on mixed highway and off-road driving
  • Meticulously maintained and 100% reliable platform
  • I built this vehicle to excel on the highway as well as on wash board and off-road terrain in Baja. When driven conservatively I have nearly a 400 mile range.
  • This is a proven build and turn-key rig ready for its next adventure!
Vehicle Specs:

-APG MidRunner Extended Travel Suspension featuring King Shocks w/ Adjustable Remote Reservoirs and 3" Coil Overs
-APG Billet Upper Control Arms w/ Heim Joints

Dead Cow Designs Insulated Window Covers
Factory Ford EcoBoost Engine Cover

Maintenance Notes:

1st Oil change @ 3000 miles (Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5W-30)
Subsequent Oil Changes @ 8500 and 14,000 miles (5500 mile interval)
Tire rotation @ 3500 mile intervals
Falken Tires and King/APG Suspension upgrades installed @ 3405 miles
Tire tread depth @ 14/32” / 90% Life remaining

Vehicle has been stored inside and routinely detailed since new including clay bar treatments, polishing and application of ceramic coatings. The paint shines better than new without any pinstriping, dents, dings or rust. There are a few tiny paint chips from highway driving. The undercarriage and frame have been waxed regularly. (Yes, I'm a bit OCD) No rips, stains or damage of any kind on the interior of the truck.

Overall it’s a 9.9 out of 10.

This has been a great truck but I am moving on to another project and I am confident that its new owner will be quite happy with all the aspects of this rig. I will say what I like best about the Ranger is its ability to float effortlessly between two roles: comfy daily driver and ultra capable gear-hauling trail runner and camp rig.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.

It's rare something pops up that is exactly how I'd equip it... and this is one of those things. I wish I had the capital freed up.

Very thoughtful build. GLWS.
Thanks Zillion: There was a crazy amount of thought, research and love that went into this build...which is really no different than most everything I do. It's a sweet rig.

Thanks mucho. I am a huge fan of the 235/85r Pizza cutters. IMO it's the perfect size tire for mid-size rigs and the increase in MPG's are a welcomed bonus of the lighter wheel/tire combo.

Excellent build. It's like my trucks twin little brother. I've got a white 22 Super Duty Supercab Shortbed with a black GFC. It's remarkably how fundamentally similar our builds were! I've just got a larger carbon and physical footprint and a lighter wallet every time I fill up that 7.3L beast.

Sincerely, excellent build!

Sounds like a sweet rig as well. Thanks for the props.

So clean!

For those debating the Ranger… I’m carrying more weight and the truck gives zero f&$@ks about a mountain pass. I really like the motor and transmission paring in the Ranger. Before the Ranger I had a 2018 Trail 4Runner and before that a Wrangler with the 3.6 and 6 speed.

We took a chance on the Ranger because of the payload capacity, otherwise I probably would have bought another Tacoma. How novel.

Didn’t need to blather that much for a bump… Maybe I’ll wash mine, nah. GLWS

Totally agree... As a 3x Toyota platform owner myself; including two Tacoma's, the Ranger's 2.3L EcoBoost motor / 10 Speed tranny combo AND the additional payload AND fantastic fuel economy has been nothing less than amazing. Oh, and the Ranger is a whole lot less money too. For those that are still "drinking the Toyota Kool-Aid" I suggest you consider the Ford mid-sized Pickups...Here's a great article to that point published in Overland Expo https://www.overlandexpo.com/compass/the-best-vehicle-for-overlanding/

Beautiful build! What equipment group does the truck have? Technology package?
Thank you, I agree it's a rad build. Equipment Group 301A w/ Sport Appearance Package / XLT Trim Level / FordPass Connect 4GWI-FI, Hotspot Telematics Modem, SYNC3 8" Screen w/APPLINK and SiriusXM

My truck is your XL twin...I'm a die hard Toyota / Land Cruiser enthusiast, but there was no comparison to the taco when shopping for a new truck. The ranger is better in every way other than maybe aftermarket support.

You're going to miss this one!

Also...did you make this? Dead Cow Designs Gear Loft

If so, do you want to make another?

Agreed, better in just about every way but aftermarket parts but I'm fine with the tradeoff.
I love your steelies...at times I wish I would have ordered a set rather than spend the $2000 I did on the five EVOCourse wheels I have. But I'm stoked on the custom offset I ordered and as a bonus they are unique and I rarely see another set like them.

Yes, I did sew the gear loft (and insulated window covers). I'm not taking orders at the moment because my day job as a boat captain is crazy busy, but hit me up at another time.

Here's a shot of the EVO Dakar Course wheel from Italy. I had to de-badge them out of the box because IMO they were a little too EURO for my liking.
